I was recently at a comic shop that had a sale on all their back issues older than 2 weeks old. I thumbed through the first issue of Cinderella: Fables are Forever and it looked promising - certainly worth the $1 sale price.

When I got home, I gave it a read and it was fun. Cinderella is a spy from a place called Fabletown. I liked it so much that I decided to track down the first mini-series of Cinderella's called From Fabletown with Love. This mini had more of the backstory in it that I didn't know in the first one. Most importantly, Cinderella owns a shoe store called The Glass Slipper. LOL

By the end of the fist series, a guy she employs fucks up and as punishment, is made to give what the book says as, "...massage every single sweaty foot in Fabletown." There are also countless other foot/shoe references and jokes about each, being Cinderella in the books.

I have no idea, Public. I am not much for reading comics online as I like to collect them. I know many companies have began putting their stuff into digital format though. Since Vertigo is owned by DC Comics, there is a good bet that it either is, or soon will be.

Sound pretty cool, I'm thinking I might go check out the local comic book store and see if we have any once all this snow clears up. Hate going into places with 300 layers of clothing on. Really looks like it could be a good read!

It was. I read From Fabletown With Love last week. It was a nice break from the super hero stuff. The other series, Fables Are Forever, just started and there is only the one issue shown above. So grab the six issues of the other series.

And not to go plugging a store, but this site rocks to deal with online. If you buy $50 or more worth of stuff, it is free shipping. And when they say "near mint," they aren't lying. I got comics from the 80s from them that look like they just came off the press. They generally have great deals and a BUNCH of stuff.
