If she was underrated, it was because despite her genie outfit, she never played up the sensualness of it, or displayed her sexuality.
The same applied to Dawn Wells [Mary Jane of Gillian's Island]. She often wore hot outfits, but never played them up, or displayed her sexuality.
BTW, I'd been wanting to see Genie's feet since the first day I saw that show. It wasn't until the Internet that I finally did. And man, it was worth the wait! Those arches are magnificent!

Barbara Eden, underrated? Man, I haven't heard that one before. I think the the fact her character didn't play up the sexuality inherent of a genie in a bottle, that she was played so innocent, made her that much sexier. She was as smoking hot as they came.

My point is that she was never mentioned as a "sexpot," unlike some other actresses of that period. And that may have been by design, because of the image she wanted to project. But clearly, she was as hot as any of them, and for a long time.
