What's the best movie you've seen so far this year? I know the movie subject has passed through here a few times but just startin' one for this year only,, buuuuutttt what YOU have seen this year and not necessarily a movie that has been released this year. So it could be an old movie but it's the first time you've seen it this year, which for you is your 2012 movie.

WARRIOR - It's my best that I've seen so far this year. Saw it a couple months back via DVD. Brought back the hype feelin' from when I was a kid watchin' Rocky train to beat the Russian Drago.

Best movie I've seen this year 'Captain America.' But I have to give 'Thor' a close second. I can't wait for The Avengers!

I've gotta see it. You just reminded me. I forgot all about it. Just did a bit of googling and found out it was released here last week. Movies ain't cheap so I gotta check my budget if I can see it this Thursday. I also wanna see 'Battleship'. Saw the trailer and thought it was ok, but Liam Neeson is one of my favorite actors and he's adding more attraction to the flick.

My favorite and most memorable scene from Captain America for me was when Tommy-Lee Jones's character get's shut down speachless in the grenade scene [Laugh] .... I've gotta find a youtube link. Found it...

Tommy's face in about the 41 second mark... PRICELESS [Laugh] [Thumbs Up]

I can't wait for the avengers either. Saw the Animated movies 1 & 2 a few years ago which both were pretty awesome. I also think it's pretty cool that they got the original superhero/Actors from their own respective movies to come together in one film with the exception of Hulk. There's no doubt in my mind that I'm seeing this [Eek!] BIG SCREEN [Eek!] ....

We've only seen a few new ones in the theater this year, but so far "Hunger Games" which we saw Saturday night has been the best one.

"The Grey" was also pretty good if you are ready for a downer ending.

The worst one would have to be "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy." I had really high hopes for that one with Gary Oldman being in the lead roll. It turned out to be such a snoozefest. Everytime I thought things were about to get intense and interesting nothing happened.

My previous favorite movie of 2012 'Warrior' has just become former favorite. Just been surpassed by "THE AVENGERS"!!!! I usually set my expectations low for a movie so if it exceeds it, I'll be satisfied. But for The Avengers, watching the individual superhero movies; Iron Man, Thor and Captain America, I feel had to be a touch better so I expected a lil' much to begin with.

Happy to say that it has exceeded my expectations with flying colours. Have rarely rearely given a movie a 10 outta 10, but this movie is 9 plus the added atmosphere of the big screen visual effects and surround theatre sound, It's nuged my 9 to a 10. If you haven't seen it.... WATCH IT big screen. Not too fond of 3D so watched it standard 2D.

Gwyneth Paltrow looks so damn sexy barefoot plus Scarlet has a breif strut in hose. [Thumbs Up]

^^Just elaborating a lil' more on The Avengers subject. After seeing this movie and with all other Marvel movies that cameo none other than the man himself Stan Lee. I feel this is a conclusional stand point for me like all Marvel movies are complete after seeing The Avengers, like a final blow knockout to conclude/win the fight. Or maybe like the final chapter.

After the movie ended, the cinema was filled with applause. With me being the big suk I am, had a half tear filled eye as I've just seen a miracle lol.... anyhoo I know to all comic enthusists (which I am not) hold Mr Lee in the highest honors, but this has boosted him over into the highest honors of my book. I would love to honorably shake his hand before he kicks the bucket [Wink] ... [Big Grin] ...lol...

I know that last sentence was a lil' harsh but seriously, without him and his team of creators, this Gem wouldn't have been possible. [Thumbs Up]

Here's to Mr Stan Lee, co-creators and all other Marvel staff in the credits that no-body really gives a shit about
[Cheers] [Cheers] [Cheers]

I did see Battleship only because I'm in love with Liam Neeson and I really enjoyed TRANSFORMERS. It was just ok. Same story line as TRANSFORMERS and Liam's part wasn't big enough for my liking.
My favorite movie would also have to be Avengers. With Hunger Games coming in a close second. Most of you have figured out I'm kind of a big nerd so I LOVE all the comic book movies. IRONMAN being my favorite before the Avergers. I thought Robert Downing Jr. had the best lines in the movie.
[to Bruce Banner]" You really have got a lid on it, haven't you? What's your secret? Mellow jazz? Bongo drums? Huge bag of weed?"

"Steve Rogers: Big man in a suit of armour. Take that off, what are you?
Tony Stark: Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. "

The list goes on.

However I'm also looking forward to seeing MIB3. I know I'm a dork!

just saw the avengers last weekend and it definitely lived up to the hype. i saw it in 3D and that did not disappoint either. nothing was inserted in the movie because it was 3D but it was cool to see the fights going on with depth. all the characters got screen time, the fight scenes were well choreographed, and the dialogue was amazing.

FLSZ, 90% of the credit for this movie should go to Joss Whedon, no Stan Lee. I am/was a comics geek and i have respect for Stan Lee but this was the product of the amazing Joss Whedon.

I've only seen Hunger Games and Avengers on the Big Screen so far this year, both Great Movies, now as a Comic Book fan, I really really enjoyed the Avengers, very funny and entertaining which is what it's all about.

That Being said I'm a huge Batman Fan so I've been look foward towards the Dark knight Rises since The Dark knight finished.
