I think the only reason there has been no response to this thread is because there really is nothing left to say.

I have a friend who works as an ADA prosecutor, the stories he tells of the criminals and their crime never cease to astonish me. The shear stupidity of the acts is breath-taking; the depth of "Dumb-ness" knows no bottom.

There must be some smart criminals out there - we never hear of them because they actually get away with their crimes.

there are lots of idiots out there.

there was a funny story around these parts... Some kid (was only 16 at the time so was underage for driving a car) stole his mums car. she thought he was at school and some thief had took it. he leaves the car somewhere and days pass.
then for some reason he's drunk he just slips out with "so how did you start that car?". then that was it! Apparently it had broken down, he tried to fix it and almost got it working but it wouldn't start.

I think she kicked him out after that.

I love reading "Dumb Crook News" for entertainment.
When we as humans became "civilized" we took away one of natures methods for thinning out the herd. We started to protect and defend the mentally incompetent. So, now that we have all those mental midgets out there and they can't all be senators or congressmen, they naturally find other avenues to provide us with their unique services.
