Picture this... You are going to prison for 10 years...You are going to spend all your time in the hole...You are allowed one album/cd...what would it be?

If you said a series, I would of chosen the "Classic Soft Rock Collection" http://www.alltvstuff.com/tl120601.html but if it's only one CD/Disk... I would probably say "Efil 4 Zaggin" - NWA

Easy - A CD that I burned from the most-played songs on my iPod.

What? That's not allowed?!? Oh... Well in that case...

No way! I love that album, but wouldn't take it as the one to listen to forever and ever and ever...

My favorite tracks are "White Mountain" and "The Knife." Since you are probably a hard core Genesis fan listing that album check out this clip here!

Genesis - "The Knife"

Or even...

Genesis "The Musical Box"

Ok... after much thought about this I am torn between two albums but I will choose one and give a short explination why The two albums are..Miles Davis's Kind of Blue and Pink Floyd's Darkside...I have to ask my self will the lyrics to Darkside get to me in the long run and slowly drive me nuts from being over analytical? I am sure they would since that behavior is in my nature. So I have no choice but to pick...Kind of Blue.

Obviously there is way too much to choose from.
When I saw the question I had to take a quick inventory, and came up with "Trespass", which came out in 1970 (pre Phil Collins). It was my first exposure to GENESIS. I aquired it @ 1974 on 8x (of all formats), have had the CD. for years.
Loved and love the band in the Gabriel years and some post. I also really like the drumwork of John Mayhew on "Trespass", never was crazy about Phil's drums.
It took me years to appreciate this album, but my fondness for it is still growing.
In addition to the two cuts you mentioned, don't forget "Visions of Angels"; that tune, for me anyway, would qualify if I could only take one song to prison. The whole darn album is great, but it is an aquired taste.
Thanks for the YT. links; when there is more time (dial up) I will download and listen to both.

Those are actually vintage video clips from them performing those songs back in '72 I believe. The Knife was live in concert and Musical Box done live on a TV program.

Just for the record; I was at a thrift store on Thursday and picked up PETER GABRIEL "Shaking The Tree" (CD) for just $2.บบ.
It's in great shape for a used CD.
I already had everything on it (except "Zaar"), but figured-why not. [Cool]

I'd probably take the Mothers album 'We're Only In It For The Money'
