I honestyl was one of the first to go around sportin' an ipod my senior year back in the early part of 2002 when I graduated - of course they came out a few months prior, theh it was the 5GB model, and now I have the 60GB - it isn't the video one, though. I am just waiting fora 100GB or something bigger to come out on the market.

Nope can't afford one, Just got a standard 1G MP3 player that suits me fine [Smile] ...

The power of a cheap AAA size Alkaline battery can last for ages... Just thinkin' about that coz I was thinkin' of the ol' Tape-walkman and Discman... Geee thoz sucked up alotta juice... Go through a whole pack of batteries in less than a couple of days...

About 2 years ago I bought a 20GB MP3-player from Archos. It´s almost as good as an Ipod, very small/light and it was really cheap. I´m very satisfied with it....don`t think I´ll need an Ipod.

I have an 80GB iPod.

I am extremely serious about collecting and listening to music, so I'm pretty sure I won't run out of storage space any time soon. I currently have 1200 songs on mine.

I also uploaded some full length movies...and some foot fetish video clips too. [Wink]

Plus, I use it as a traveling photography portfolio. I uploaded some of my favorite photos onto it to show potential models and customers.

Initially, I had no desire to own an iPod, but my wife bought it for me as a surprise. Now, I wouldn't want to be without one. It's so versatile and useful.

I have an iriver t30, 1gb flash, paid 30 bucks for it refurbished. It holds a day's worth of tunes and the battery lasts 30 hours of play in practice with volume around 6 or 7 (on a scale to 30). I can't carry all my music around obviously, but until they come out with a 500GB or 1TB ipod with an easily removable battery, I can't rationalize the expense, though the video option is appealing. The iriver's got a stereo input, but there is no DC bias on it for a condenser mic. I built a small stereo mic amp for it and it does a mean job of booting a concert.

An 512 Ipod shuffle [Laugh]
It does do the job though. I can put 200 tracks on it and really who listens to that much songs. I'm planning to buy an ipod nano but only because I want to have a screen.

I don't own any mp3 player, but I remember a guy I used to work with bought one of the very first ones available. He was so proud of it too and I thought it was the biggest waste of money at the time since it was new technlogy that was too expensive for what you got.

I don't remember the brand of player, but he spent $400 and it held 20 minutes worth of music on it. You know 7 top 40 pop songs or 1 song by Yes.

I did have a 4GB iPod Nano. Then while listening to it at work one day, I was on a snowmobile and I rolled it and it came out of my safety vest pocket and flew up between my shoulder and the tree I slammed into. Folded neatly in half though! It's still lying in the muskeg up in buttfuck nowheres Alberta! [Tongue] It was amazing though..long lasting battery life and held about a 1000 songs...got me through some boring ass plane rides and my favorite thing to do with it was play the "Tour of Duty" theme song by Pearl Jam when I get into the helicopter and it's taking off..feels like Im in 'Nam!

I might get one of those 160GB Ipods just released today...it's advertised to hold 40,000 songs or 200 hours of video or a combination of the two! And it's only $349 (the 60GB I own 4'th generation was $599 at the time I got it).

Also, to those tech specs out there, is there any way to convert songs from your iPod to another iPod (is it the iPod liberator)?

I have a 30GB black iPod Video, previous to that i owned an iPod Mini, 4GB. And i think there isn't a way to transfer music from one iPod to another because of Copyright reasons and such...
