Some guy on Youtube.com took scenes from the movie TRON and mixed them to "Suffer Well" by Depeche Mode.
It turned out brilliant!

Did it ever! I love both Depeche Mode *and* Tron, so I really couldn't go wrong with that one. My hat is off to the guy who edited that together because it's looking fabulous when set to the music. That should've been the video that dM used for the song! Reminds me quite a bit of the overall effect produced when Giorgio Moroder set an electronica soundtrack to Fritz Lang's classic Metropolis back in the 1980s. Good stuff! Thanks for sharing that link.

I remember as a young teen when that movie first came out thinking the computer animation from that movie was the hottest shit around. Anyone old enough to remember all the Tron arcade games and the home Intellivision games too???

I do. I remember seeing Tron in the movie theater. I may have been around 15. I don't remember much other than I thought it was disappointing.

Depeche Mode, on the other hand, isn't disappointing.

I remember TRON the video game.

I was an adult before I could win the lightcycle match and the cone game.

Whew! Intellivision, Coleco Vision, Atari, and my cousin (a young tech whiz) had an IMSAI 8080.

Just kidding! He had a Tandy TRS-80. He took me to see Star Wars ROTJ, and stayed in the lobby to play Galaga. When the movie was over, I went out to the lobby, and he was still playing, had the high score, and so many men (extra lives) the screen could not show all of them.

He gave me some more money, and told me to go see the movie again. He was solely responsible for my love of SW. It was he who took me to the drive-in to see the original SW.

Yep, count me in. I used to play those games back when Bally Midway had released 'em in the arcades in '82 & '83, and I've also played the Intellivision version as well. Over twenty years later, I'm still playing those same games (among a few thousand countless others) on my emulators. Old habits die hard! I hope to die hard myself, but that's another story entirely.
