You asked for it? You got it! Here ya go buddy, my own home-brewed after-dinner version of "We Are 138", originally recorded by The Misfits. The only thing I left out of it were the vocals so this way you can sing along at home. Plus you really don't wanna hear me try and do a Glenn Danzig impersonation. LOL...

That was fun. How did you do the drums?

VERY good work Bro! *applause* [Cool]

Thanks for that. [Thumbs Up]

The whole time listening to it, I kept wanting to stand up, strike some bad-ass pose (holding my "air mic") and start singing away. [Big Grin]

You have got some skills my friend. [Joint]

Thanks guys! hehe Hal, I programmed the drums on the computer in step-time using a software sequencer and taking the sounds themselves from two drum machines and a synth.

I'm no musician, but I'm curious Brother CJ...

How hard would it be for a one man band to do a cover of Free Bird? I'd imagine with the three guitars going on for so long toward the end, it'd be quite the challenge. You ever do something like that?

Are we talking about one man playing all the parts to Free Bird by himself live, or are we talking about one man multi-tracking all the different parts in the studio? The latter is certainly possible, but the former would prove a daunting task to just about any musician unless they were to sprout two more sets of hands. hehe If I were going to play Free Bird in front of an audience with just a guitar, I'd work out a special arrangement of it prior to the performance that optimizes the one guitar limitation while trying to still keep as much of the original nuances of the song intact. If on the other hand I were going to go the one-man-band route as you mentioned, I suppose I'd probably just program the sequencer to supply the drum & bass parts, and then I'd fill in the guitar parts & vocals live. Maybe to make it interesting, I'd have a piano sequenced to play the other guitar parts that are harmonizing together with the ones that I'd be playing on the guitar. That'd be interesting to see!

Yeah Bro, that's what I meant, playing it in a studio and doing the recording and re-recording. Of course, seeing this live would probably be the show of the decade! [Thumbs Up]
