I saw the news footage at the time and was astounded. I also formulated a plan for my home: If it can't use a phone to notify me of its arrival, it dies on entry.

As revolting as that was it has nothing on a really horrible clip I recently saw which I will not post a link to. It was unfortunately a real scene from a film made in Japan probably some 30 years ago. A live cat was thrown into a room filled with 1000s of starving rats. You can imagine that outcome...
