Total lameness..the allegations are such BS, at least from what the reports were. That's a great way to destroy the man's life.Sucks.

He sits there passing voting against gay rights and then look at what he does...

Why in the hell would someone plead guilty to an inappropriate act they say they didn't do? Mr. Craig does have a lot of explaining to do to Idahoans and the American people as well as anyone with an eye on the United States. If Larry wishes to have sympathy from those he's betrayed, than he must tell the concise truth.

I love it everytime I read an uplifting story like these! Someone in a position of trust and power (be it a politician or your local parrish priest) goes out and does a boneheaded act like this and makes embarrassing national headlines. However, last I heard I didn't think it was a crime to be a practicioner of buggery here in the U.S. anymore. So is the act of soliciting a friendly reach around in a public restroom a crime if it isn't done for cash.

I wouldn't know because I wasn't raised to ask for sex from strangers in a filthy airport restroom.

He resigned woo hoo!

I hope that the allegations are false, but like A&F_FootDude_05 says why resign if you're not at fault. On the flip-side the whole "big brother" syndrome these days is alarming. I had a chance to talk to some people in the security industry and the stuff on the horizon is both amazing and a bit scary. Anyway it's sad that people are still "do as I say and not as I do."

Last I checked, lying under oath was illegal. Don't know if dropping your pants and demanding oral sex from Paula Jones is considered legal behavior either.

Best thing that ever happened to Paula Jones. Didn't you notice how much better she looked after the nose job and other work she had done following the trial?

That has nothing to do with anything. Doesn't make what he did right and had he been a republican the bush haters wouldn't be so quick to write it off now would they?

I'm a big Bill fan, but yeah he certainly didn't tell the truth initally and lied under oath. However, Bill came clean. Larry seems to be falling into quicksand and oscillates his position from what it seems like. He pleads guilty, wants to reverse the plea, resigns and then reconsiders resignation - this man is a mess. Bill Clinton didn't switch his postion multiple times on his wrongful actions like Larry Craig has done.

Yeah, besides getting a BJ in the oval office, and admitting it...is 100 times better than creating a fake war, getting 3000 troops killed and denying the fact that Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism [Big Grin]

this is just classic. we all know better than this ' poor craig, who knows if hes guilty or not' crap. look at the pattern, and see that it is a likely assumption to say that anyone who is passionate anti-gay probably is gay and embarrassed about it. plain and simple. with all the stereotyping that goes on in our country, that is MY new stereotype, fuck it i extend it past politics, anyone i meet now who seems to be passionately against gay marriage and gays in general, im gonna just assume that they are probably gay. i have already seen this happen 3 or 4 times in my life (i was raised in a southern church), and in reality, i have NEVER met someone in my life so far who believes strongly that being gay is wrong and is willing to fight agaisnt it that hasnt turned out gay. we would all be happier if all the closet gays would stop bothering people and face their issues. hahah anyway half joking, just loving to see the revealed hypocracy of these far right wackos
