Just curious who my fellow scribes follow on the NCAA football trails. For me it's Oklahoma Sooners.

Big-time University of Oregon Ducks fan here...have season tickets to all home football games...around the city I live in (Eugene, home of the U of O) football Saturday is a big deal. Awesome tailgating action outside Autzen Stadium (the Ducks home field) and the whole city really gets behind the football team.

Last season wasn't so great but I and all my fellow Duck fans are looking forward to a great season this coming fall...we have a lot of returning experienced players and some promising young players (including Jonathan Stewart, one of the highest rated running backs in the nation out of high school that is going to be playing for us).

Oh yeah..."ilovefeet"...looking forward to seeing your Sooners here in Autzen in 2008 (if the current schedule stands)...hopefully we'll get some "payback" for last September... [Thumbs Up]

Autzen filled up on Gameday...it gets LOUD here (rated one of the loudest stadiums in the nation):

Walking on the trail that runs between Autzen and the university campus...which also includes a bridge across the Willamette River:

GO DUCKS!!!

Pretty impressive tootsylover. If the game is still on in 2008 maybe I'll take a trip west and take in all the excitement in person.

Hey ilovefeet...looks like you may have to make plans for that trip "sooner" then expected...according to an article in today's Register-Guard sports page here in Eugene it looks like our match-up in Autzen Stadium will take place September 16, 2006:

Sooners, Ducks set 2006 date at Autzen

Looking forward to it...also looking forward to the enhanced 12-game schedule starting next year so we will be able to play each team in our conference every year instead of missing one (this season we don't play UCLA).

GO DUCKS!

Hey Tootsylover: Shouldn't be a problem on Sept16. Just 1 question though.Do you want your crying towel in Oklahoma red or Sooner white?

lolol...well we'll just have to see about that! [Wink]

I hope you and your fellow Sooner fans trip out here is great (except for the final score of course)...the folks on the Ducks message board that I frequent ( www.educk.com ) had nothing but good things to say about the hospitality and good folks in Norman last year...hopefully we can reciprocate.
