I was on another foot discussion forum going through the archives and came across that topic. It got me to thinking back a bit since the 80s were when I got my first foot action but it seemed to refer more to fashion during that time.

Keds, thick slouch socks, ballerina's etc were worn by the girls then. Most heels and pumps were closed without foot showing. 80s fashion moved away from the "hippie" styles and toward neon colored bright clothing thus out with the flip flops.

You'd be hard pressed to see much bare feet in the mainstream media too. Few exceptions would be like the Duran Duran video "Rio" or the video for "Maniac" from Flashdance as a couple of rare examples.

I did discover "LegShow" magazine back then which was a door opener for me then as all other girlie mags usually cropped feet out of the shoots or had them posed in shoes. Totally nude except for slouch socks and keds... [Laugh]

Anyone else remembering this from that decade? What can some of the really old timers from even earlier decades add to even earlier decades? Younger members on this forum born in the 90s probably can't fathom this I'm sure.

I do recall that 80's playmates rarely showed their toes in pictorials. Used to really piss me off, these all natural girls next door types posing nude and their feet either covered up or cropped off the photo altogether. The few toes they did show were spectacular.

Looking back at content from the 80s, and even the 70s, I agree that there was not much in the way of bare feet. Perhaps that's where the love for closed-toe pumps came from among older guys?

I was born in 1988, so I was able to grow up in the decade where sandals and flip-flops began to come back in fashion. [Smile]

I was watching some porn today and it had an amazingly beautiful girl and she had fucking socks and stilettos on!!

I've never understood why/how porno's are shot with the girl wearing shoes or socks but yet completely naked...I realize that only footguys think like that but I equate that to being the same as say a woman getting fucked in a porno and keeping her bra on...just doesn't make sense.

That's because most porn producers don't realize that many of us are attracted to feet!

I was born in '87 so I have no memory of the 80's, but as a scent guy all I can say in response to this is that I would love to get a whif of 80's feet. I'd choose the fun of peeling off slouch socks to removing flip flops any day.

as a man of the sixties i remember girls walking around barefoot all the time, this was before flip flops became fashionable, i was in heaven constanty, now i can hardly remember the last time i saw a girl barefoot, but on the other hand, girls take better care of their feet today, funny how things change.

Two things:

1. I remember finding my dad's porn stash and he had Hustler magazines. I thought it was odd that it would have a pictorial of two girls making out while being naked at a laundrymat with bubbles and suds everywhere and not one single picture showed them bare foot. All the pictures had them in heels. Come on, what woman wears heels while playing in suds and foam?

2. I remember how the 70's were over and while the big hair, closed shoes and leg warmers were a big thing, so was exercise programs where the women would wear leotards that only showed their exposed hands and feet. I watched so many pointed toes when my mom would watch her exercise shows..

Yeah, now I remember very well the picture from the "Jane Fonda Workout." That was kind of iconic during its time.

It was the song "Let's get Physical" that started that lol. But yea young in the 80's I still noticed it being anti-foot a bit.

The good thing about the 80s was that its the era that brought in a lot of aerobics/fitness programs, and if you caught the right show (where they didnt have those big fluffy socks on) then the girls were barefoot.

Or if you happen to catch an episode of them working out at a beach or something.

And another good thing about the 80s was that porn started to really take off on TV around that time too. So sex scenes started to be more common and one good way to insinuate sexual attraction was to "play footsie". LOL

I remember Kathleen Turner putting her foot all up in Danny Devito's crotch.

That's what I remember about the early 70s as a kid was barefoot girls everywhere wearing cutoff shorts and tube tops. I think that's why to this day I still like the dirty soles look.

This is a funny memory of how much of a foot perv I was by the time I was 5 and that I still remember this vividly after almost 40 years. I can remember being with my mom at a fast food restaurant getting burgers and as we were leaving there was a girl that was just before us that was barefooted leaving with her order out the front door. She was dressed as I described above in the classic ass cheeks hanging out cut offs and barefooted with dirty soles. I followed out the door staring at her feet and then the door slammed shut right on my head. I don't remember what happened after that. [Laugh]

I recall the mid to late seventies with the "hooker-look" (strappy, open platforms)shoes which I adored.

From that I recall the relentless frustration of the eighties with all the closed shoes - some of the very high heels revealed a peek of an arch but that was about it. From this foot-guy's perspective, the eighties were horrible.

I do fondly remember the late sixties and early seventies when the girls were all barefoot or wearing very skimpy leather sandals. That time solidified my passion for feet...as if it wasn't already, um, firm enough.

The best thing was the tennis skirts with Keds, laces removed and no socks. I remember a lot of thin gold chain anklets, too. And Da-Glo nail colors.

I'd still like to travel back in time to 86-90, walk a college campus taking feetpics. That would be great.

I took feet pics of a gal pal back in '88 when I was in college which I've posted here a few years back. She was pretty much into her feet then keeping them freshly pedicured and had 200 shoes in her collection. She wore sandals a lot too back in those days keeping me stiff all day in class since we took almost every single class together.

80's were good to me! Not sure where you guys were at? Spent my summers on the beaches in Florida (OMG!!) and the ladies in Texas wore boots and you couldn't wait to get them off or sandals/flip flops! Always soft, pedicured and gorgeous. Really haven't had a bad decade of feet yet.
