The other day I watched Black Swan. As much I enjoyed the movie, I was looking forward to seeing some sexy ballerina feet. Instead, I found myself in a foot nightmare! Natalie Portman's feet were all bloodied and bruised. I think there was a scene where she tore off one of her toenails. I could not tell because I looked the other way for being so grossed out!

P.S. However the lesbo scene between Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis was really fucking hot! More than made up for the feet.

I read that it's actually pretty accurate portrayal of what actual ballerinas put their feet though.
Which makes it amazing that Summer Glau has great feet, since she also has a dance/ballet background.

I agree, ballet feet are pretty beat up. The movie was good however not or the foot fetish people.

They are all photo-doubles for shots where you don't see the actress in full size. Hands, feet body parts etc... It's cheaper that way and less stressful on the principal or their time, they rarely to almost never do it for the most logical reason (because that actress has ugly feet/hands etc...) Portman had four photo doubles through out the production, and two dedicated dancer/stunts people and a dedicated ballet dancer who got credited in the film.

one of the few girls back in HS who's feet i never saw but always thought about was a ballerina and i always wondered if they were all jacked up. i knew from some of friends who were soccer players that athletes feet in general are not that well maintained.

I barely heard anything about this movie except girls thought it was good. A male friend said it wasn't bad. Good heads up on the foot fetish stuff. I will have to search for a clip of the lesbian scene!
