My girlfriend.
My gf and I ran a small free website around 2001 - 2003 featuring her pretty feet. The website began to grow pretty big and we got loads of emails & requests, so my gf pushed me to start a more serious website with multiple models. That`s how Toes-in-Action began.

I am a lifestyle foot fetishist. Footpervert.com and Digitaldivasonline.com got started when my links page got too big in 2004. Labor of love, being the key words for me.

What sole O said! Female feet and the passion for them. I strongly believe that somebody who doesn't share that passion cannot make good foot fetish sites.

my turn...for me it was a combination of several things : first FM Concepts. The quality of their work and in particular the F/F material is unparalleled to this day. Basically FM concepts showed me the way to go.

Then asian girls : I moved to Asia many years ago and the first thing that stroke me was that everywhere I went I would see average looking gals with stunning feet. I have been on every continent but nothing compare to asian feet imo.

But that wasn't enough to make me start a business though. I had a dream : I wanted to see FM concepts style shots and videos but with asian girls. I looked everywhere but in even in Japan this is a rare fetish. So I thought : if I can't find I'd rather do it myself.I start to shoot for myself in 2003 but I actually started a website in 2010.

First time I saw g/g foot worship pictorals in Leg Show (pre-Internet) I knew I would be producing scenes one day! FMC then showed it can be done over Net. Just saved up, made biz plan and started shooting scenes 5 years ago.

Going to do this in bullet points or it might get cumbersome.

- Started dating Abby right out of high school and she posed for photos for me - first time I did dedicated foot fetish photos (snuck in some foot photos of classmates in high school here and there during normal photo shoots though)

- Found Leg Show magazine and sent in some of Abby's photos in the fan section, which were printed

- Began shooting photos with some of my other friends and Abby's friends as well

- Met Kim T. and her husband and exchanged photos with them and other people via Leg Show contacts and a PO Box

- Started learning early web design in college (can you say Netscape Navigator, anyone? lol)

- Made a simple site of my artistic foot photography and artwork, more of a portfolio thing and got some good feedback

- I added a models section to the site and began doing foot photography with lots more girls in my classes and at work

- Broke up with Abby (remained friends) and kept going with the site, which I later renamed The 10 Little Piggies

- Met Janet Mason, got a footjob (LOL, that's for Bondo)

- Met a girlfriend whose mother was so far up her ass, you could see her in her mouth sometimes and I slowed down on the free site, The 10 Little Piggies

- Closed The 10 Little Piggies after moving it to a non-free server and it cost me money

- Broke up with the new girlfriend after three years and decided I missed doing that photography and began plans to come back

- Found that there is a porn DVD series called 10 Little Piggies, so I didn't want to go that route and came up with Soles of Silk

- Did photos with Madison, Lauryn, Mindee, Cierra, Maria, Lisa Tyler, Sue Lovely, and Amber to get enough content to open up Soles of Silk

Nice replies so far!

wow...I forgot Legshow and Elmer batters too! Seems the magazine had a big influence. FMC also set the standard pretty early. I remember they used to have a printed magazine ( pre-internet ) that could be found in "special" stores : ) I think that was that was my first exposure to their work.

When asked, it's no surprise that most webmasters will espouse with great artistic passion and deep appreciation.

However for many, the primary motivation is money; trying to cash in on the perceived Internet gold mine.

Wouldn't it be great to not have to work for a living? Why not start your own foot fetish web-site so you can sit around and beat off all day...

Well, it's pretty obvious the amount of dedication involved.

Those of us who know, forge ahead instinctively, simply because.

Believe it or not, some, mostly the mom/pop sorta sites, actually do it because it is a passion. That passion costs money, so only logical to try to at least make back what you put into it.

I don't speak for everyone, but I sure didn't start Soles of Silk expecting to be a high roller.

Passions cost even more when converted into business expenses. The amount of time and effort involved is frequently underestimated. [Hop]

Many mom&pop sites start when a guy convinces his wife or girlfriend to model. [Kiss]

In the classic scenario, she reluctantly agrees as long as her face isn't shown. (wouldn't want to get fired for having feet) [Fingers Crossed]

Then they ask questions like, "What kind of content would you guys like to see?" [Laugh]

Those sorts of sites usually have a fairly short lifespan; the constant turnover at BHE for example. [Violent]

Q: How many of the hundreds of original BHE sites are still around today? [Secret]

A: Only a handful, Wu's being one of the most notable exceptions, or exceptionally noteworthy.

5-10 years ago, it was easier to make a buck on the Internet. Consumers have to be smart about their money these days. [Mad]

On top of that, there's an overwhelming amount of free stuff online now; mediocre content just doesn't sell anymore. [Cry]

New startups have really got to be dropping bombs to gain any forward momentum.

Of course the best sites no doubt have a passion for it, and that's reflected in their commitment to excellence that goes far beyond working for little in return.

I do not have a site, but this year I started shooting models. I ask models that have pretty feet for one session of foot photos (for me)in addition to some fashion or portrait style work (for both of us).

It is so liberating and rewarding creating your own content. When you are a member of a site requests are sometimes ignored. When you create your own work, you are the boss!

In 2011 I intend to "step-up" my game and explore new territory without appealing to a particular demographic. More to follow...

Goodguyneighbor and Patrick : I agree with of you on some points.

First most webmasters started with a passion and sometimes with no clear intent to start a website. For my part I started to shoot years before the very thought of opening a site crossed my mind.

Return on investment : this passion do cost money ( and time ) and even though I have a well paid day job I wouldn't mind to at least get back what I put into the site.Profit isn't of my goal but investing so much time and effort to lose money isn't really worth it.

Dropping bombs : on this I agree that mediocrity doesn't sell at all. When I started AFW4U I brought something new to the table : asian amateurs ( instead of asian porn starlets like in DC or Asians4U ). I also filled a niche of asian G/G foot worship that was empty at the time ( still is...)

Finally I try to up the ante with the content with 10 videos and pictures set everyweek , new models every month and now 3D pictures and 3D videos. Competition is tough and Goodguyneighbor ia right. Very few sites survive after a few months of existence when the content is passable at best.

I was fresh out of college and started looking for jobs on craigslist. I got curious about the "adult" section and browsed the entries. I found this one post from a guy who was looking for foot Goddesses (basically women with pretty feet). I sent My pictures in and was invited to one of his parties down at the Crucible in DC. From there, I met other fetishists and Goddesses and that's how Goddess Chocolate was made.

Now, I host My own foot fetish parties in the area. Its just another reason to party really. [Wink]
