Being an arts (music) major in college I used to see a lot of dancers around the arts center barefoot, before, during and after rehearsal. Was a highlight of my day that's for sure. Would have loved to dated some of them but never was able to.

One of my fondest memories: Two girls in dresses took their shoes off during theatre rehearsal. Both had stockings on!

In my high school one semester boys had to do wrestling, girls had to do gymnastics. Not all of them, but a few girls would do the gymnastics barefoot.
