In my experience - when she wears the boots WITHOUT her hose...they smell more...so what's with the hose-wearing thing?

With hose creates a different aroma, and to most people it's the nicest smell of all.

If they make her feet smell less then see if she's willing to wear the same hose for a couple of days, once they start to smell, you'll know what I'm talking about.
