hey guys,
i dont know about everyone else but i get really pissed when gutless losers post negative comments about other peoples pics & i dont just mean my pics,it pisses me of just as much when its about any of the posts on wus.the best thing about wu's is that it caters for eveyone,no matter what type of feet you like, big, small, long toes, high arches etc. its great that we can all see feet that do it for each of us here,i just dont think negative comments are needed,if you dont like the feet in a particular post then dont look at them, thats what i say anyway.
its not often that it happens, but it makes me mad when it does, its just so small minded, what do you guys think?
cheers,
solelover99.

Yeah, i totally agree. I hate seeing negative comments, especially if some one is posting some thing they think is great, but doesnt appeal to others. I hope i have never bagged anyone's wife or girlfriend. It's hard enough getting amateurs to post stuff. If i dont like something, say, long toes or very hard skin, i'll say it, but also thank the person for posting and thank the woman for posing. I dont like to be nasty to anyone.

I usually don't agree with the statement "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". well, when it comes to feet, i do agree with it; so, please, no negative comments.

Posted by Hal (Member # 3484) on :

I agree with the above although I think that negative comments are quite rare at Wus (compared to The Mousepad). Over all our community is very friendly and the mods usually take care of unfair comments very quickly.

Though they are rather rare here, they dismay me when I read them. I adhere to Thumper's (from Bambi) credo "if you can't say someting nice- then don't say anyting at all."

on some boards they will trash your pics even because of how you feel about politics.i think the thing about it is it seems odd because it doesnt "feel" right that someone who honestly doesnt like the pics would actually post the comment.my favorite thing is to imagine them as a smoker who has run out of cigarettes and money and are know clicking on random links at wu's being a jerk.it allows me to find humor in the comments

I agree we all have different tastes, but there are nice ways to disagree.

Yeah, everyone has different opinions on what they find attractive about feet. Just because it's not something you like, I really don't understand why you should post negative comments, just keep it to yourself or don't post, and just mention something that you do like at least! [Wink]

I think fewer negative posts will make it easier for new members to work their way in participating here at Wu's. New members are joining everyday, and it's hard for most members to be comfortable communicating with us here, and watching the negativity is one thing we can do to help that.

The beauty of this forum in comparison to others is that we here, tend to act in a more civilised manner.
I am a member of many boards, both foot related and not and nowhere else have I found such a positive and welcoming attitude that exists here at Wu's.
I've learnt the hard way online that: 'You can't keep all of the people happy all of the time.' So I don't try to anymore, however I think it takes maturity and the ability to bite your tongue to provide a place where we can all get along, and for the most part we do here...that is why I keep coming back day after day. That is why people post pic after pic here, this is why women feel comfortable joining in on the fun here, this is why we can disagree politely and move on. This is why this forum is the success it is.
Tolerating fools just for the sake of keeping them happy only brings us down to their level and for the most part, I feel that we are all beyond that!

Everyone has to just learn to not take people opinions too seriously on the internet. The people who talk trash are bad, but the people who overreact to it are just as bad.

But we're not talking about "people who talk trash" or "people who overreact" since it's irrelevant in this forum. Posts get deleted quickly. We're talking about negative posts about things that doesn't gain anything but bad feelings...and we all know that when a poster is feeling lousy about his/her efforts in trying to please at least "SOME" of us, then we have a bad atmosphere in the forum altogether.

Agreed...just because I don't like someone's feet, doesn't mean I should diss them. Someone else probably likes them. If I don't like them, I just move on...

I'm sure the women who put their feet out there are sometimes shy. The women who allow us to see their feet here should be commended. Thanks, ladies! [Thumbs Up]

thats what im talking about,if you dont like them just move on & look at others that you do like, instead of making unnecessary negative comments.it particularly shits me when (& it usually is) the negative comments are posted by people that are to piss weak to post pics of their own!also when they are directed towards someone elses positive comments.
anyway,i dont think this is an over reaction,im just saying that it is the positivity that is generally encountered on this forum that make it work so well, people are comfortable to post their pics here because of this & i just dont think negativity is needed here. [Thumbs Up]

The only types of negative comments I dislike are the needless ones "You're ugly" or "obviously a mans feet, ugh" or some such. These are unnecessary, and should just be quiet, you're wasting everyones time.

Certain negative comments can be useful though "I dont like that colour" or "Dirty feet are nasty" are needlessly selfish posts, but if everyone posts with statements like that, but still thanks the host for putting pictures up, it can endorse change, different locale, different colour, poses etc ^_^

Please, if nothing else, dont be needlessly rude or inflamatory =D

Posted by solelover99 (Member # 13493) on :

i agree with what your saying cliveman, its the rude &/or inflamatory comments that shit me,saying you like a different colour or pose etc. is fine.

I saw a comment about a week ago that was totally uncalled for by a newer member. To me, her feet were beautiful, but if he didn't like them, there was no need for that comment. When I see feet I don't like, I keep it to myself cause their are plenty of others who do. We're lucky these women are showing their feet for us to enjoy.

Posted by Britney Sweetstink (Member # 2676) on :

I'm a firm believer that if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it because it's not helping matters to shoot a foot model down.. All it really does is make the person who says the negative stuff look bad.

There is a real problem over at the mousepad with negative posters, thankfully wu's is a forum this rarely happens!

So can we come to some sort of unwritten agreement here:

If no one posts a response to your pics in the threads that means that we don't like them for one reason or another so don't keep posting comments like Doesn't anyone like these? or Why hasn't anyone replied?

That way no one will have to comment negatively and the poster can then naturally assume that maybe those feet aren't quite up to par without the need to ask over and over again?

If we can at least establish some sort of etiquette for this then I think people will get the point without hurt feelings....

Fair enough?

One thing I've learned; the qualities in which the fetishist finds appealing in women's feet are as varied as grains of sand on a beach. Each to his own, but respect the other.

Posted by Maverick Matrix (Member # 2989) on :

If there's something you don't like on a post, here's a simple suggestion... don't comment on it. It honestly takes too much energy to post a negative comment on something and frankly, no one wants to put up with it. Just keep the negativity to yourselves. Keeps the real meaning of what we're here for.

You´re probably right most of the time but I´ve also noticed some really great photo threads moving to page 2 pretty quickly only because they were posted at the wrong time of day (like 5 am in the morning) or because the next person replied to 10 topics, thus pushing the thread way down the page.
Sometimes when that thread pops back to the top of page 1 it suddenly gets a load of postive replies.
In other words...some threads are really worth bumping back up.

lets take that a step further. If one of the foot models gets a negative post from someone with 3 posts who joined the forum last tuesday, it's safe to assume he's a troll and everyone else thinks he's an asshole without needing to get worked up and threatening to leave the forum.

I agree with this 100%. To come in as a newbie to the foot forums and start ragging on a few pics or posters is disrepectful, needless and childish.

Again 100% in agreement with what Hal said. It really does get frustrating when a topic that you have read and looked over three days/weeks/months/years ago gets bumped back to the top at the expense of something that if caught at the right time would garner more than a couple of responses. I sometimes have to fight the temptation to remove a post and send the thread back to page 3 when someone bumps it with typing nothing more than just "Nice feet" or "I love your toes".

People....If you want to bring a thread back to the front page please make sure you have something more to contribute than just a couple of meaningless phrases or words.

I am sure that a lot of members would appreciate an insightful comment if they have to sift through your bumped thread rather than a comment that makes you sound like a dog humping the model's leg.

*Gets off soap box for now*

yeah this is kind of a common sense thing unfortunately, i say unfortunately because there are always gonna be people who have their own motives for wanting to knock other people down... it is very simple that there is a line between saying something isnt your cup of tea and insulting people.... i dont reply to posts if im not into them, or i pick a positive out of it and comment on it if i like and know the poster from around here...

i agree with everything you said

about the 50 good comments and one bad comment being bothersome, that is just the way people work

if 50 people tell you the same exact thing and then one person says the complete opposite, whose comment will stand out in your mind?

most likly the opposite comment

I always try to say thanks for the pictures and their efforts even if I don't dig the pictures. I look at it this way, I am fortunate enough to have someone post pictures of their feet which they had no obligation nor right to do so in the first place.

Also, people who use, "it's my opinion" for hiding the fact that they said something that served no purpose but to attack and degrade should be considered rude and inconsiderate.

I meant the exact opposite...that sometimes it is very good to comment on old threads and push them back up. Some threads are definitely worth it....especially some underrated picture posts.

On the other hand it`s ironic that you posted "I won`t comment in old threads anymore" in a thread that is almost a month old. [Wink]

JUST KIDDING! [Smile]
However, there's one thing I've got to say: I myself get a little annoyed when photos I've posted don't generate that many comments.
I think the real problem is simply that less people look at the photos section than this Foot Fetish Talk section.
So may I offer this suggestion? Why not allow photos to also be added to this section, as well.
(If I'm wrong--a lot of people do look at the photos section--then that's fine.)

Wow, I didn't realize that some people would not click off this section and click into the pictures section of the forum. I guess it can happen though.

As far as negative comments go, I'm not a big fan of them. I realize that just because I may not like a certain look of a woman's feet it doesn't mean that someone else will love them. I'm sure that there are women's feet that I would consider "good looking" that some others may not. Beauty can be so subjective at times. However, I will say that there has been so much great content in the Pictures section of the forum lately that I've already commented on in an earlier post. Sometimes, it's very difficult to respond to all the quality stuff that is there.

I think it's actually better to keep the negativity to a minimum. All it takes is a few negative posts to get feelings hurt. The next thing you know, it can escalate into an all-out personal war between people along the lines of, "That person posted a negative comment on something I posted so I'm going to do likewise the next time they post". At that point, personal agenda gets in the way of the actual quality of the content. It can also start to get other people angry and to start picking sides over who is "right" and who is "wrong", leading to a widespread pissing match between two "factions" of people.

To me, less negativity = less drama.

I don't think this is necessarily true because if you look at the date/times of posts there may be a thread with the last post 1 day old that's on page 3 of the picture forum versus the end of page 1 or top of page 2 on this forum. For example I just checked right now and the last post at the end of the 1st page of the talk forum is from 2 days ago (12/7 in the morning) and the last post at the end of the 1st picture page is from 8:30am today. A lot more posts are made in the picture section.

As far as comments, I do like that this forum is positive. Sure there are some feet pics posted that my first thought is, "how in hell does someone find these feet attractive?", but I just close that thread and move onto the next without posting. I don't want to ever discourage women from posting their feet pics.

Posted by dougiezerts (Member # 6829) on :

What makes feet attractive, to us? Personally, I think that ALL female feet are attractive, so long as they aren't physically deformed, in some way.
As the chiche goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you don't think a pair of feet looks nice, you don't have to voice that opinion. Becides, it will hurt that lady's feelings, if she found out!

I understand those who don't want any negative comments, so prefer that people would keep their negative opinion to themselves.

And speaking about myself I don't mind some criticism, especially when it's expressed in a nice way (in a private message for example). That just helps to improve [Smile] I know that people who absolutely hate my feet won't bother sending a PM, so I can ignore them in a way they ignore me [Big Grin] But those who would like me to do something different are very welcome to do that. And then it's up to me to listen or no. Simple [Smile]

Also I would prefer that somebody who doesn't like my feet, wouldn't say anything than would lie and tell lots of compliments only because he/she wants to be polite [Thumbs Up]

I give my honest opinion. It is silly to think we should only say positive things, we all have opinions. I haven't really read things other than eww gross or not for me.

In regards to posts like, "My GF's feet..."

Posters normally say, "What do you think?"

(If they only say that to boost their on ego, i.e validation that their GF is well hot etc, then they need to accept they might recieve negative comments)

As long as the comments aren't flammatory, i.e

"Omg, you are sick $^&% you should burn in hell you $%£%&$ go 3%"%£$%£ and the horse you rode in on...etc"

Then its fair to say something negative
