That the great Calico Jack made his 10,944'th and (hopefully not) final post here on September 7, 2006. It is still a mystery in regards to his whereabouts. On his last few days his post count did take a significant downfall which makes me wonder if Calico's dissapearance was truly arbitrary. Either way, here is the link to Calico's last post here:
For those that came after his dissaperance, Calico was one of the greats of this forum - he always participated in the forums, was really upbeat, had an impeccable attitude on the forum. You could tell from here that he was one of those people that gets along with everyone and that you just can't hate. Whatever the case with Calico, I just hope someday he resurfaces. Maybe he enlisted into the Iraq War and is coming back soon. Who knows...

Just a little over a month after his absence, he had another 'where'd he go' thread spread about him...

Sorry to have missed his era coz I've only been on board since Jan 07... but judgin' by your comments, he seems to be a cool, highly respected dude...

Even though Calico joined 4 months or so after I did, he quickly became a "pillar of knowledge, wisdom and experience" here at Wu's. He, along with Lou Gojira, were staples here every day on the forum, dispensing untold amounts of facts, figures, and advice for all of the rest of us, especially the "newbies". Perhaps aided by his sudden disappearance he's probably destined to reach mystical status.
Don't think anyone's studies it yet, but having participated in several forums, I've always been fascinated by the social interaction of forums in particulat, how often people visit every day, and how long they continue to be active in a forum. As we all know, topics do get "rehashed" fairly frequently and after awhile one can wonder "why do I keep coming back here?". Obviously for most it's because of the wonderful daily interaction of sharing experiences or fantasies and the ability to foster and develop those that are just "coming forward" on the forum and admitting their foot fetish. But just as with any teacher or counselor, this can get old after awhile. Maybe he just "burnt out". After all Lou Gojira is no longer nearly as active as he was a year or two ago, and I myself have formally quit the forum once but did return.
Regardless, we all do miss Calico.

Im drinking a cold one right now...next one is in honor of Calico! He gave me some sound advice quite a few times via PM. For all we know he could be watching as continue to post about his whereabouts..either way he's enjoying ped's wherever he's at!
