Here's an article from ABC News that caught my eye about the growing interest in women undergoing cosmetic surgery for better looking feet.

Wow, that's interesting. Honestly though, the first thing I thought about was whether or not a lot of those cosmetic foot procedures would drastically affect the primary and most important function of the foot, the ability to walk comfortably. Sure, you may want to get a toe shortened, lenghtened, arches heightened, etc., but what if you're walking in pain for the rest of your life? Those cosmetic podiatrists are at the top of their field to walk such a tightrope. You don't get nearly those many problems with other sorts of cosmetic procedures.

Very interesting, especially the comment she made:
"I always said, the day I do my feet is the day I get rich, or where my career starts to pick up," she said. "And as soon as I did my feet, I started getting calls." (I guess a lot of club owners/producers/managers have foot fetishes huh?)

But as Salvy_Mic said, I'm sure a number of these surgeries are for solving actual physical problems, not just for aesthetics.

Though I know my wife never thought her feet were attractive because of bunions on both, when she had one removed many years ago, it was for purely physical reasons, because of the pain it caused her and how difficult it was for her to wear many shoes. It improved the appearance of her foot 100% and I wish she had done both feet. Unfortunately because of the pain and recovery time she said she'd never do the other one. Fortunately her "bad" foot doesn't bother me any more like it used to.

I hear that...I like the look a perfect foot ( Then again a perfect foot is in the eye of the beholder) But like to worship a un perfect foot...Alittle hard skin...all adds to the effect...
