I was waiting for a class to start up the other day, and this attractive blonde girl sat there with her legs crossed, as she was wearing a sexy looking pair of slip-ons that allowed you to see part of the top of her foot. Anyhow, the sole of her shoe caught my eye - I noticed something green - indeed a green sticker with a handwritten $5.99. The tag reminded me of ones used for garage sales. I thought it was hilarious (p.s. this girl was GORGEOUS) and I wanted to break ice so bad being like "you paid $5.99 for those, huh" or something like that. I didn't have the guts to make any sort of reference to it - what would you guys have done in this situation??

Same here. Jokes are a good way to break ice, and if she was the type to take offense to something like that, you wouldn't really want to try talking to somebody like that anyway.

I don't even know her! [ha, I wish i did though] - It was the first day of classes...it'd be interesting though if i was presented with the same opportunity later in the future...I so badly wanted to say something to her about the tag (maybe I could have just told her there was a sticker on your shoe), but my introverted instincts told me no.

Instead of saying anything in front of the class I would use the old fashion method. Make a cute note on paper such as 'You seem to know how to spot a bargain [Smile]

' and slip it to her when no one is looking.

I would have gone for it. As Lou said, if she had a hissy about it, you don't want her anyway. On the positive side, it could have taken off into some incredible foot and shoe-related conversation.

I would've made the comment and made sure to do it in a way that she would (hopefully) know that I was busting on her. If she happened to take it the wrong way, then she has a problem and it wouldn't be worth it to get involved with her. I have to say that would've made a great opening line, since girls are so used to getting compliments from almost every single guy that tries to hit on them. Odds are that busting on her right away could've gotten you somewhere.
