I think you'll find it more fulfilling if she's an active part of your foot fun. With that said I've done the same on numerous occasions myself. While I can understand the rush and the whole idea of not getting caught, I would suggest at least letting her know you have a foot fetish and the sooner you do it, the better. I'm sure you might have some explaining to do if she found some of your stash of foot material on your computer, although you say it's hidden. However, you'd be even more in a spot if she finds all the pics and doesn't know or realize you have a foot fetish. That would completely blindside her. At least if she knows of your fetish and then found feet pics, you could possibly get away with saying that they are on your computer from before you met her and when you were still "single". Since they were hidden very well, you could say you "forgot" about them being there. Hopefully, she doesn't find the pics you've taken of her feet and realizes what they are. That would definitely not be a good situation!

it's hard to say sometimes when it's best to come out. I read an article where a girl described a guy who came out too soon, ie the first date and she totally thought he was a freak.

But I warn you: even if your girl does not want to actively participate, at the very least you need to let her know about your fetish and what you're doing with, and to, her feet and shoes. Yeah, I'm the resident sleepy feet fan here, and I think you ought to tell her you have a foot fetish. Sure you run the risk of getting cut off if she's not into it, but in my opinion, not getting feet is not nearly as bad as losing a girl you care about.
