I know the subject of tattoo's on feet has come up a few times already, but I think I have seen what could easily be considered an "extreme case".
I know that our opinions vary on this subject, like most of the subjects we discuss on here, and there's not a thing in the world wrong with that. But I'd like to state beforehand that I'm not trying to offend any of you tattooed-toes-lovers with what I'm about to say.
Okay, here's the story... I work with a 25 year old guy who happens to have a reasonably lovely young girlfriend, who also works at the same place, just in another building...so my getting to see his girl is pretty seldom.
However, a couple of weeks ago, I got what would, under normal circumstances, be considered a sweet view of his girlfriend. We were at some boring-assed and time-wasting facility meeting, and we had to sit around this auditorium with stadium style seating. Being the "rebel without a clue" I am, naturally I head to the very back of the place and try to get as away from the rest of the crowd as I can.
The guy and his girlfriend sit a couple of rows further to the front than I am, and off to my left. He has his arm around her all lovey-dovey, and she kicks her little slip-ons off and puts her bare feet on the back of the chair in front of them. Perfect for me to stare and get worked up about it right? WRONG!
This girl's feet literally looked like she ran drunk and blind-folded through a tattoo parlor. She actually had a tattoo on EVERY SINGLE TOE, not to mention some HUGE tattoo's dead center of each foot...and, that's not all...LITTLE ASTERISKS PEPPERED IN BETWEEN ALL OF THIS!
Now the reason I mention the guy beforehand is this: he's a self-considered "hardcore" guy. Shaved head, tattoo's sleaving his arms, metal hoops stretching out his ear-lobes...and there is nothing wrong with this, but I should've guessed that his girlfriend would follow this look as well. I already knew that she had tattoo's patching all over her, but her feet were tattooed to death!
I just sat up there and looked at her feet, shaking my head as I couldn't believe that this otherwise attractive girl just didn't seem to know when to say when to the ink needle. I'm not knocking anybody's choices in what they do to their own bodies, but I realized then and there that my coworker COULDN'T be a foot guy, or he would've stopped that insanity after her first foot tattoo.
I know that some girls can pull off the tattooed look around their feet and make it look good...Lexi Lapetina being a most beautiful example of this...but this girl my coworker dates, I'm sorry, I wanted to cry when I saw her feet.
To me, she had literally destroyed God-given natural beauty. You know those sad scenes on TV when they'll show a pretty forest, but with a smoke-stacked factory in the backdrop? Or those scenes of a breath-taking sunset, only marred to death with powerlines, utility poles, and ugly buildings obscuring it in the foreground? That's how I saw this girl's tattooed feet...a literal destruction of what could very have well been a very beautiful part of her.
I don't know...I'm probably over-reacting. I'm just glad that MOST tattoo parlors will refuse to do work on fingers and toes...I wish my coworker's girlfriend hadn't found the one that didn't have those rules. Posted by FIASCo (Member # 1899) on :
Kelley Maren is a rare example of someone who looks nice with a tatted foot. I'm in agreement with you for the most part though.

Damn, that's a shame, I have never seen an example of tatooed feet that extreme though... but then again tatooing is well... another world from the world of feet. Ugh, wtf, oh well... there are plenty of other girls with awesome feet out there anyways.

Yes Siiiirrr!! Lexi is a smokin' hot looking hottie (check out my new avatar of Lexi.L ). Every women can't pull off tats and still look sexy as hell IMHO. Lou, you know I value your opinion and if she made you cringe/cry because of her feet, she must have been a bad sight.

I can't say as tattoos anywhere do much for me .. but they are actualy a turnoff for me when they are overdone. I think I am a minority tho in how I feel about tattos.
I heard the foot is one of the more painfull places to put tattoos. Maybe she is looked upon as being able to withstand more pain for her tattoos and therefore looked up too by folks who are into them.
Lou .. why would most tattoo places refuse to do fingers and toes? Heck they peirce anywhere LOL

I'm probably one of the biggest fans of tattoos on sexy gals that you're gonna encounter out here at Wu's, and even I must agree with Lou about the manner in which excess can easily become unappealing. I'm glad that Lou cited Lexi Lapetina as an example of foot tattoos done right because if he hadn't mentioned her then I surely would have. I admit that my ideal preference is for a gal's tattoo to be one of those around-the-ankle type tribal or barbed wire designs, but once in a while a gal like Lexi comes along who can put the tattoo right on the heart of the foot itself and make the whole package look incredible and busting with sex appeal. And by the same token there are other gals who fall short of the mark in that same attempt. Off the top of my head I can think of a couple of gals in the adult biz who have tats on their feet which actually turn me off far more than they turn me on, so there's definitely a right way & a wrong way to do it.

I'm just not a fan of any ink or body modifications myself. Both of my grandfathers (RIP) got tats when they were young (think 1920's or 30's) and regretted having 'em later in life. What you think looks really cool right now won't look so hot as the ink fades, skin starts sagging and wrinkling, etc. A nice red rose tattoo at age 20 will probably look more like a withered rotten tomato by 50.

I don't know Popsi...seems kinda' like a double-standard doesn't it?
Those rules were probably made up by the same guys who implemented seat-belt fines. You can ride a motorcycle without a helmet all day long and you're perfectly legal, but let a cop spot you without your seat-belt and they can pull you over fine you. Makes no sense to me...
Still, I have to be thankful for the rules in most tattoo parlors. I've met one too many girls who would want their first tattoo to be on one of their toes...and I'm sure only God truly knows why. Let something like that go for a little too long, and you'd have an entire generation of girls with inked up toes...and I don't want to think about that happening! Can't ride a motorcycle up here in canada without a helmet .... heck you can't even ride a bike without one. It doesn't bother me because it really is a smart thing to do to wear a helmet.

I tend to agree. I can take a very small tattoo on the leg or ankle, but definitely don't care for any tatoo on the foot itself. So entire coverage would gross me out too.
We're currently experimenting with some temporary tattoos in many of the standard places small of the back, shoulder, ankle.
If, for some reason my girl insisted on getting a tatoo, I'd insist that it be small and in a place that's among the last places to sag as she ages.

There is a girl at work with a really sexy butterfly on her foot. It looks really great with the set of killer arches she has. She always likes to show her feet when she has gotten a fresh pedi, she like to try to draw all the attention to her feet.

as a heavily tattooed rocker and an extreme foot lover i dont mind feet tats, as long as they are done well!! i am very critical about any tatoo, male or female.. so i would want them to be well done, not basement jobs, as far as the amount of tats, as long as there done well i have no problem with heavily tatted feet!!
