Dear Annie: I need your advice. Last year, I asked my son-in-law to help with some work on my house and yard. One day, I came home from the office, kicked off my heels and lay down on the couch. Dear Embarrassed: Let's not jump to conclusions. Yes, he could be enjoying the foot rubs more than you are. But it's also possible he is a loving son-in-law and knows a foot massage makes you feel better after a long day. Here's how you find out: Ask him to give you a foot rub when your daughter is in the room. If he has a foot fetish, she would know. And if he's reluctant to rub your feet when other family members are present, it may be because he considers it an intimacy — in which case, it's time to stop. We're certain you can find a way to do it diplomatically.

when i was a kid... i almost got caught up in a situation like that. i was giving my aunt massages on a somewhat regular basis. i was young enough to not fully understand what i was feeling.
one day, she asked (the only time she asked for a massage) in front of many of her friends. at that time, the only thing that clicked.. if i refused... i'd be 'outed' for something i didn't get. so i abliged.. ended up massagive more than just her feet.. a few friends jumped in on the option. (some feet smelled so awful.... yuk... bad memory)
the hardest part.. two guys were there.. and asked also.. one joked that if i didn't he'd tell my mom i had a foot fetish. i had never heard the term prior and out of fear of what it meant.. i did it. (sorry to mention that part)
after that day, i wised up a lot. no foot anyting with family (although i will add.. my dad did get wind of this day, and i was asked to massage his feet nearly every day for a year)
why do I share this? folks will try to out you whenever they can. and if you're being a 'fool' about it, then.. you should be outed.. but if you're being cool about it, there are ways to protect yourself from those trying to out fools.
sometimes you have to eat crow to keep your fetish hidden from those who don't get it.. but other times.. folks that act like idiots need to be outed for the sake of others who aren't idiots.
Feetluvr.. good post. her advice sounds sound to me... and if he has a fetish and is enjoying intimate moments with his mom-in-law and his wife doesn't know.. shame on him.
but if it's just caring.. then.. she shouldn't listen to the comments of collegues who don't know what is going on for real.
i hope for his sake, it's more a caring guesture and not a slick way of fulfilling his fetish. that way.. he can keep on keeping on without making the situation bad for all involved.

I think that's how my friend sees it when I massage her feet....she used to let me do it all the time even when she knew I had a foot fetish...one time I licked her feet for a fraction of a second and that was the last of her allowing me to massage them...what a damn shame because I have been friends with her for 7 years and we are still friends to this date...she is moving far far away very soon though for a new job.

i hear ya!!! a good friend of mines is moving. i have massaged her feet a few times.. but once married.. she's got a bit nervous and fearful my wife would not approve.. and i dont' blame her.. don't want to have issues with either of them.
i haven't massaged her feet since i've gotten married... and also.. my wife knows too! that way.. no one gets embarrassed.
i would have never licked.. would have messed up my friendship.
i can only hope that when she returns... she won't mind me taking pics (i've posted her feet here before). as for the massage... i think by the time she comes back.. she'll have her own man to do that.... which i hope she does.. she loves having her feet played with and if her future man is into feet.. he'll have a heck of a good time!

It's a shame that it totally changes a woman's viewpoint on the acceptance if the guy enjoys it. Oh well, the world is full of ironies, Tee Hee! Just get the feet however you can
The guy, could be one of the pervs in a foot forum. I seem to recall his side of the story on a situation similar to that. It wasn't nearly as daunting from the way he told it. I wonder why, LOL!! ...perspective can mean everything
