I saw this written in the comments section of some foot fetish related article.
The soliciter musta really thought that we are all a bunch of deranged lunatics that need help, LOL If only she knew it was just a subset
Here's her insulting comment:
"Do you have a foot fetish or phobia?
Does the sight of bare feet with beautifully painted toe nails send your libido rocketing? Or do you want to run away and physically vomit?
Perhaps you’re tired of suffering in silence and being labelled as a ‘freak’ or a ‘weirdo’.
As Producers of a television documentary on the subject, we would like to hear from people with foot fetishes and foot phobias. We want to document your road to a cure in this, sensitive and informative documentary; which will include professional psychologists and psychiatrists.
To tell your story please telephone Katy Kendrick on: 0207 438 1857 or e-mail: katy.kendrick@twofour.co.uk .

Interesting- wonder if, after they "cure" the foot fetshists whether they're going to "cure" those with other kinds of fetishs? Heck, they could have a whole series...

I have heard about cures for phobias and, supposedly, they do have treatment for fetishes as well. I would like to find out if any guy with a fetish has ever relapsed after being "cured" of his fetish.
Maybe it's just me, but I think it would be difficult to find guys who are well-adjusted and comfortable with themselves to want to be "cured" of their foot fetish. It seems to me that guys who really need to be cured - i.e. the radical lunatics of the world who break into women's houses to steal their shoes and lick their feet, etc. - probably don't think they have a problem, try to justify it to themselves, etc.. As the old saying goes, "If you question or wonder if you're crazy, you probably aren't."

Under the article, "Sexual Fetishism," posted on Wikipedia,
"Most of the sexual orientations popularly called fetishism are regarded normal variations of human sexuality on behalf of psychologists and medics. Even those orientations that are potential forms of fetishism are usually considered unobjectionable as long as all involved persons feel comfortable."
It goes on to state that a person could be considered "ill" because of his or her fetish only if he or she suffers because of it.

I wonder if constant uncontrollable urges for masterbation (due to one's fetish) might be considered suffering.

I actually did use to feel this way until I found this forum and discovered that there was nothing wrong with me at all. But this may be regarded as another piece of bad press.

Yeah I can understand curing a foot phobia(which I've never heard of)...; But curing a foot fetish???... Wouldn't a person just switch fetishes or make another fetish stronger???
