I think Lou's still in the wings as I believe Ladaemon and Hal keep in contact with him on another level...
2 months without a word? maybe Feetluvr has slipped into the realms of "Calico"

People get bored I guess. The same topics get covered over and over again so I guess some people get tired of participating. Feetluvr left before due to work taking him away from easy internet access. Perhaps that's happened again.

Lou's pop died earlier in the year and last time we e-mailed he wasn't in the mood to really jump on the board. I'm guessing Lou will come back when Lou's ready to come back.
Good guys on the board like these get missed pretty quick.

Holy shit, I didn't know she has cancer. I remember you said she was ill, but never would've thought that. What kind of cancer does she have and what treatment is she going through? I am really sorry to hear that Cain.
My bro-in-law had thyroid cancer and is doing fine after having it removed and then just a year later he had colon cancer. He's doing alright after colon surgery, but it makes me wonder if the years he spent on a nuclear sub back when he was in the navy could've had something to do with it. He's up and about living life pretty normal except for the thyroid medication he will now be taking for the rest of his life. The dude was more concerned with missing work than surgery.

Sorry to hear the bad news, Cain. Here's hoping that this is just a bump in the road and there's new, smooth pavement on the other side.

I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!
...and I can't even describe how badly I missed you guys and this forum! I'm humbled that anyone even noticed that I was gone.
I apologize for not letting you guys know- I just got involved with finding a new job, starting a new job, resigning from the new job, being unemployed for two monhts, then finally finding my dream job..
For those that are interested here's the skinny as briefly as I can describe it (which, if you know me, usually is NOT brief)
I'd been working at home the last few years for my brother in law. He started having problems paying, getting later and later each month until last December he ran out of money. Knowing that things were not going well I had been looking for another job in Florida, in several different fields- and having very little success until I got an interview for a National non-profit organization in late November.
I was the only one out of 96 candidates (local and national) that had no experience with their organization- but I got the job! So I thought that it was meant to be. The kicker (and yes I thought about you guys) my female boss, who was about my age, had KICK-ASS feet, took great care of them, and wore sandals alot.
Unfortunately, turns out she was a bitch, had no relational skills whatsoever and had unbelievable expectations for the job and me, especially since I was training intensely the first two months. In April they asked me to resign, telling me I was a great guy, but just not meeting their expectations. The good news is that they gave me a months severance pay. Not great, but better than nothing!
During the next month, using all the major job sites I know I submitted upwards of 80 resumes to companies all throughout Florida and even some nationally- with usually no response at all and I was running out of time and money.
Outta the blue my daughter mentions that one of her good friends knew of a local job in IT that as available in a place that I never even thought of. The kicker there- I know several of the top folks in management. I didn't even really have an interview- it was basically just exchanging pleasantries and I was hired. Good pay, great bennies, and a lot of great folks to work with. What a huge relief!!! So I'm now as happy as a clam!
My apologies again for not letting you guys know. As Ladaemon mentioned I had bowed out once before but, true to his prediction, returned. And though yes, at times things get repetitive on the forum, there's nothing I enjoy more than sharing them with you guys here at Wu's.
Can't wait to start going back through the posts I missed. I'll try not to reply to all of them thereby dredging up all the old posts. My wife's away this weekend so I got lots of time.
Hey guys- I can't tell you how happy I feel to be back!
P.S. BTW- if there's athread you know I really should or HAVE to see, please give me a "heads up"- thanks!
