Any nightclub/bar workers, in this group? I've had an idea for a while of something your club could do--a "Barefoot Night." As the name suggests, customers would leave their shoes and socks at the door, that evening! (Women can wear their hose, though.) You could have rugs on the floor for people to walk on, and you could play reggae/calypso music for them to dance barefoot to. You might even run special events--a "Prettiest Feet" competition, for example. Or how about getting a tank, putting grapes at the bottom of it, and holding a "grape stomp!" And maybe your staff could go shoeless as well, giving us a chance to see your waitresses barefooted! Of course, it's winter now, but perhaps you can plan this as a summer event.

There is already a similar event like that in my home town since a few years. It is an alternative/"spiritual" dance event every weekend where people can dance barefoot, if they like. A few years ago almost all women would take off their shoes, unfortunately now it`s only about 20%. In summer a few more (maybe 50% of the females). Another drawback is that the music is quite awful and most women are in the mature age range (30 - 50 years old). There are hardly any women under 30 years of age. A while back the event was awesome: Lots of good looking young women, all of them barefoot. But now it kind of sucks.

LOL, I'm with moman on that one. A place bustling with nothing but shoeless women in the mature age range of 30 - 50 years old absolutely sounds like heaven to me! We all have different tastes to be respected so naturally I don't mean to knock the younger gals, but 30 - 50 is definitely my ideal range.

The only drawback I can see to this idea of a "Barefoot Night" at a bar is that you'll also have men taking their shoes and socks off as well. I think what would work best is if you put a twist on the "Girl's Drink Specials" that some bars tend to advertise and did a "Women's Barefoot Night" and offer drink specials all evening long to any girl daring to go barefoot and stay barefoot for as long as she's in the bar - i.e. with no shoes or socks on their feet. However, I know certain public places don't allow bare feet, as it is a violation of certain health codes. I don't know what those codes are and if it would pertain to bars. Anyhow, that's just my take on it.

I know, a "Barefoot Night" would mean you'd have to look at guy's feet! Perhaps the rule could be that socks are allowed; men are more likely to wear socks than women. Yea, health code laws are a real drag! I can see that putting a stop to the whole idea, in some areas.
