I actually look forward to cordial cherries and the smells in the air of a country store when they bust out the christmas scents

I actually look forward to January 2nd when the holidays are done! I've become Scrooge since in my line of work this time of year is when its at its most hectic, and the hours the longest.

I'm sharing the same feeling.
There was a time when I adored the season. Not so much any longer.
By decree of our boss/owner, we have been running Christmas music since OCTOBER. It is a good thing that Burl Ives and Bing Crosby are dead. Otherwise, I'd be lurking outside their doorway, waiting to club them like baby seals.
I hear that Johnny Mathis still lives...

Just spending quality time, with cousins & kinfolk. We're a very close-knit family!

I love being able to head home(only a 45 min drive away) and be with family Xmas eve and Xmas day. Xmas eve there is a big get together at my parents place and my stepfather cooks up about 5lbs of bacon wrapped scallops! Friggin' delicious! No shortage of beer(and eggnog but I hate it lol). Love Xmas day the most but then Boxing Day has the start of the World Junior Hockey Championships(being hosted in Calgary,Alberta,Canada no less!).
But like LeDaemon points out, I HATE what this has become. Nothing but greed fueled by crazy parents trying to get that perfect gift and hectic lineups/parking lots etc etc. I work as an armored guard for a security company that picks up money for business' and this is the worst time of year to be an armored guard. We have a HUGE target painted on us and then deal with the crowds on top of that adds to a stressful time of year to say the least!

I look forward to pumpkin flavored foods, like pumpkin snacky cakes, pumpkin eggnog, pumpkin doughnuts, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin coffee, pumpkin milkshakes, and pumpkin pie! But that's more seasonal than just around Christmas. What I really like about Christmas is making my friends and family happy when I've given them a good present.

Since I no longer get toys from my parents cause I'm too old, I look forward to watching my kids open there presents. That way I can play with the toys. Toys today are so much cooler than when I was a kid.
