I was born on 9/11, the day of the terrorist attack. I've always felt like that's meant something or will mean something bad.

Sure it means something. It means you need one more candle on the cake! I agree with the others. I too have a friend who happens to share that particular date of birth. There's nothing inherently evil about the date itself, and that perspective is coming from somebody who was right here in NYC three years ago tomorrow. Happy birthday, gs3647!!

The television show "Mork and Mindy" first introduced comedian Robin Williams to the US public in 1978.

The Stars and Stripes is claimed by some to have been first carried by Americans in the Battle of Brandywine, Pennsylvania, in 1777.
Dr. Charles Hufnagel managed to successfully replace a faulty aorta valve with a plastic one in 1953.
A US satellite passed through the tail of the Giacobini-Zinner comet, the first to gather data directly from a comet in space 1985.
In 1995, the blues legend John Lee Hooker got himself a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
In 1997, Scotland created its first independent Parliament after being united with England for 290 years.

Thanks! I will enjoy it, but I'll always feel sad, because 2001 wasn't a happy birthday. Oh well, I might as well enjoy the birthdays I have while I'm young. I'll be 24.
