That's certainly fair man. I didn't like the feeling either, but I really appreciated how different the ending was compared to the usual happy/sappy ending.

Recently: Balls of Fury. Can it still be called a "comedy" if i didnt laugh once?
Ever: House of the Dead. A Uwe Boll "masterpiece' that was supposed to be based on the popular arcade game. Its was so bad that actually laughed more at it than i did during balls of fury.

Recently: Knowing. It was terrible. Started out brilliant though, but the last quarter was downright terrible and ruined the whole thing.
Ever: Napleon Dynamite. I'm not American so maybe I dont get it. But it was deadpan, boring, monotonous. I normally find merit in all films but this had no redeeming qualities at all.
and i watched that Hannah Montana film with a friend. i was 22 at the time and i really hate poor films, but for some reason it just had a nice feel to it. heh and i don't normally like US films too.

A few times. I find it to be a most peculiar and mostly enjoyable little cultural artifact. I first caught it randomly on TV, drawn in by the title, having never heard of it before, and I was immediately struck by how "Pynchonian" the whole thing seemed.

A good point, but in my opinion (for whatever that's worth) the best game to worst movie adaptation ever was "Bloodrayne". Any game which includes endless bullet-time/sniper vision/frequent and gratuitous dismemberment of Nazis/ and unapologetic T&A deserves a better treatment than what Uwe Boll gave it a few years back. At least I got to see Kristanna Loken's tits. Posts: 44 | Registered: Mar 2008

"Dude Wheres My Car" Nothing funny about that stupid ass movie. Everyone of those actors should be embarassed for starring in that movie.

I can't wait for Crank: High Voltage to end as I type this. Tis a godawful piece of shit. Lots of cool action, yes. But a pos movie nonetheless.

I went to see District 9 on the weekend and it was by far one of the worst movies ever. I wanted to leave 10 minutes in but thought I would give it a bit more.
20 minutes in, I thought, why is no one else leaving? They must know something I don't
45 minutes in, Seriously, is this a joke? Then I thought, ok, I have 45 minutes in and now I am emotionally invested to find out what happens.
2 hours in.....Lost 2 hours of my life I will never get back.

I loved that movie. All of the social and political implications mixed in with human nature. It spoke volumes on human history and what we could expect if we don't right our ways.
As for a sci fi movie.....not so good, but great as reminder that we are all human and we need to treat each other better.
A bit ironic that the movie was set in johannesburg, the home of Aparthied that only ended less than two decades ago. The same Africans that had these atrocties committed against one another were doomed to repeat it against the "alien" race that happened upon them. That was just one bit I picked up. The story line was fairly lame, it was the subtleties about the way we treat one another that I enjoyed. One of the more thought provoking movies i've seen with all of the immigration hoopla in the news. It said alot about us as humans and they were'nt very flattering about it, which stimulates growth...but of course this was IMHO.

Ohhhh....How about the remake of "The Haunting" with Liam Neeson, Catherine Zeta Jones, etc.? I'm surprised no one's mentioned that one.
