in all my years on this earth, i have never identified as a liberal (no matter what conclusions you have jumped to). and yet even i can see that it's attitudes like yours that are tearing America apart. to think that my sister is putting her life on the line in afghanistan, fighting the taliban, fighting for our freedom, for YOUR freedom of speech, while you are nestled in your computer chair spewing hateful language at your fellow countrymen for simply disagreeing with you... well, it makes me sick to my stomach.
after having perused some past threads of yours, i see that it isn't just me, but in fact quite a number of other posters who, without having provoked you at all, have been routinely insulted and denigrated by you after having merely expressed viewpoints that are different from yours. one wonders why you attempt to have discussions at all.
freedom of speech only works when you use it responsibly. otherwise, it is dysfunctional, and you are simply abusing that right. your conduct is an absolute disgrace to the founding fathers of America, and to the men and women in uniform who are so valiantly defending that right. you should be ashamed of yourself.
freedom of speech exists to facilitate discussion, but when you resort to insolent, schoolground name-calling, you are in fact working AGAINST that right by LIMITING the conversation. and if you can't see that, then there is simply no hope for you.

I dunno, I kind of enjoy posts by folks that are so out of control that they come across as complete morons! The boy was foaming at the mouth and was driven over the edge. I'm guessing its better to keep the board as civil as possible though. For any truly nasty "debate" go to the ogrish forums.

He was just standing up for what he believed in, and no one will take that away from him. There's a moral to the story, we all want something better for this land and some people are more outspoken about it but I think we all share a common ground in that we all enjoy freedom.
i thought i tried multiple times to engage in a rational discourse with him. after that, i truly felt i was merely responding to his hostility and childish provocations. maybe i got carried away.
in any case, looking through his posting history, i'm certainly not the first one he tried to "tango" with.

I think the comment u made about trying to pin Diarrea to the wall counts as egging someone on...even if you were kidding. You know how Internet message boards go, hard to tell how kidding a guy can be. Anyway..Peace!

I called him out when he was being a major ass. I too tried to have a serious debate with him at first, but when it was clear that he was more interested in flinging insults and slinging rhetoric, I unfortunately did the same. He acted like a punk, so I was a punk right back at him.
I've got no problem with people who disagree with me, honestly I don't. I just expect people to be civil about it, and if you're not, don't expect me to just let it slide off my back. I'm going to be an asshole. It's my nature.
Even other conservatives like footgurl were turned off by the guy's nonsense. I admire you trying to play devil's advocate, but it seems to me that you're more into anarchy and disorganization anyway, and there's nothing wrong with that. But you weren't there when the guy started his jive. He was not standing up for what he believed in, he was doing everything he could to bring everyone else down. Unfortunately for him, I get down and dirty with the best of him. Eventually, I just got bored. He made it fun for me to make fun of his dumb ass, for awhile at least. And truth be told, he deserved it. You may disagree, but that's okay.
The rocks are still out. I don't care about guilt, because I've got plenty of it. I'll throw 'em anyway at whatever I think needs a rock upside the head.

Try ignoring people like that next time and you will have alot less stress my friend. They will eventually give up trying to haze you when they can't get through to you, trust me it works! --And who the heck said I was for Anarchy and Disorganization? I'm merely trying to keep the peace in here because we're all supposed to be friends "in feet" and there's no need to sling mud around at each other, let the politicians and news media do that for you.
