The funniest part is,the conservative poster above you agrees with the study more than i do.I have nothing but people telling me what my opinion of it is in here and ignoring what it actually is.
I have said quite plainly - I think the study points to the lack of physical adult retail in conservative areas due to blocking of such retail, to cause a jump in ALL people in those areas using the internet for porn instead. You are both refusing to understand my position on purpose.
If i am going to have my viewpoints dictated to me by others, then yes i feel i have a right to ask you to just not reply to me.I have asked several moderators including Wu for an ignore function, and i would love to put you on it.
i will say though, your post as usual added absolutely nothing to the discussion other than " hey im conservative and this makes me mad so it must be crap" brilliant, really.

Then why post an article that you don't necessarily agree with? Lay off the Mary Jane before you cut and paste what other people say because it made NO sense unless you are stoned and drunk on Koolaid girlfriend! lol Maybe I'll go write a thread on Global Warming and Tit Mouses and tell you to lay off my thread. Learn to accept in a public forum you will have to deal with opposition and live with it. The floor is yours deary.. Also please realize your are playing in the oven on self-clean mode with a bunch of the Big Dogs...so it may get a little rougher than you are used to..there's nothing personal against you no matter WHAT is said.

Interesting article, if not a little overly sure of itself. It looks like they only sampled the credit card receipts from one adult entertainment provider. Does that mean only one adult site? Surely a broader sample of sites would provide more meaningful results.
If their finding that the more religious states appear to be higher online porn seekers is accurate, I am not surprised. I think it's a well known psychological phenomenon, touched upon at the close of the article, that when conditioned to repress natural urges, to quote Ian Malcolm from Jurassic Park, "nature will...find a way". Often this leads to clandestine, hypocritical, sometimes morally bankrupt activities, and surely some feverishly guilt-ridden online porn adventures would not be excluded from that mix. The safest way to go, really. At least they're not molesting choir boys.
As far as the other argument in this thread. What in the holy hell is the point of having a 'politics' discussion forum if people are attacked as 'trolls' for simply posting articles that are more-or-less aligned with their political views? If you start frothing at the mouth and are inclined to resort to personal attacks whenever discovering views that contradict your own in a 'politics' forum, I'm mystified as to what you expected to find in said 'politics' forum in the first place. It verges on the nonsensical. Someone can post an article without agreeing 100% with all the assertions within it. Posting an article is not necessarily a condemnation of everyone who opposes its content, but could easily be presented merely as something conducive to discussion.

I will absolutely continue to post articles i may or may not agree with.that won't change.
You are not a big dog, you have made a fool of yourself in this thread and so has your fellow limbaugh-speak counterpart.
This obama vitriol and constant bashing may have intimidated most of the people who used to post here to stop, but you do not intimidate me by a long shot, and i enjoy pointing out your obliviousness, ridiculousness, and straw man arguments.

You usually do miss the point. Why don't we ask ledaemon why he posted the thread about google brokering deals that he didnt agree with.
Paul: Why on earth would you do that? Are you not aware this forum is only meant for people to post political threads from their own viewpoint?

This article is basically the first big article carried by major news affiliates regarding online porn that i have seen in 09.
We are a forum that boasts a large number of online porn producers.
The case for posting this article is indeed quite solid.
LOL though, for the two conservatives getting heated about conservatives maybe downloading porn, and arguing so on a foot fetish website with someone who makes porn.Does anyone know a good company who could remove the huge pile of scrap irony in my yard?

Did you not read the fact that I am not a Republican or Conservative? Go back and re-read my post please. It's obvious none of the masses of friends have come to rescue you because the article is naturally a moot point and they have no comment lol

LOL omg, you bring poor Obama into this now? Keep digging sister! I never once mentioned him in this thread and it's pointless to jab him as it's unproductive in a totally un related thread. Quit your whinin'..
rather than the actual topic, most of the posts in this thread have been about your initial whining that it was even posted. Now not only have i pointed out reasons to the contrary,so has at least one other poster.

No rescue needed.by now, i think people are aware that you were wrong from the begining. What i am pointing to, is that it seems there have been less of the usual people in the other threads too lately, and it seems to coincide with recent members thinking they are big dogs.
I made the point that Paul's post doesnt reflect his views and you ignore that and reply to the what you might have witty comments to.Just because i take extremely liberal views on some matters, does not give you the right to attribute that to me on every issue when i havnt even wieghed in.Its poor peer relations and it shits all over the thread for before it lets any discussion take place. On a gun control topic, i am likely to weigh in with very "conservative" views. Are you going to give me opinion on that issue to before i state it? Also implying my agenda only works up ucfl, and if you want to talk about kool aid, well i heard in the news his hannity kool aid turned out to be wiper fluid

Stating that some random news article posted about a small sampling of porn viewers are largely all Conservatives being false is more based on fact than it is whining.I encourage you to look up the definition of the two words. Your friends don't want to stick their foot in their mouth {no pun intendid} in how lame this article sounds or else they would have told me how wrong I am in this no? Why would they be scared off by like 2 conservative posters who even voice their opinions on here, when the majority is Left leaning? Majority rules doesn't it..why would they leave based on discussing politics or do they not have anything to say? Proof is in the pudding about me being one of the Big Dogs in this little community, member here for 6 years and lurker for a few before that and a website that boasts sometimes upward of 500,000 hits an hour on heavy days..well..u get the point.

What you said was that i posted the thread because i agree that conservative people are hypocrites and download more porn than non-conservative people. My actual position was that it was all types of people downloading the porn, not more conservatives, and the reason conservative areas came out ahead was a lack of physical stores.
Now,if you want to talk about people who kind of agreed with the article, someone who did in this thread was conservative. It makes sense to someone else that conservatives download more porn than others for reasons they stated in their post.I said something different was probably at play.YOur projections have been wrong each time.I dont think this little community needs big dogs or little dogs, and in the foot fetish industry in General i can assure you your bark is no bigger than mine
quote:Originally posted by Wrinklesguy: If I am wrong, may the trodding of your soles trample my face..how's that for a challenge? hehe
dont worry i won't step on you for it:) when you said "your argument" in your first post or whatever,it was actually his argument. The title was a copy paste job and honestly, i probably would have titled it "utah leads in online porn$"
for future reference - i will probably tend to post articles about online porn in the news, even if they are only vaguley about politics like will online porn withstand the recession
I just figure that if anyone can discuss these topics it would be us.I remember posting quite a few in years past in here that were vaguely political.to me its just news about porn, and i like news and make porn
