Yep. It's a shame to see a champion become such a loser.

This was one of the true tragedys of American sport. It didn't bother me as much when Mike worked so feverishly to dig his own grave - but when everybody else pitched in with their own shovels I could not help but to see some sadness in it.
His life pretty much ended when Cus D'amato died. That's when it began to unravel, going way back to that shocking night in Tokyo and the loss to Buster Douglas. Mike had lost the only figure of trust and authority he'd ever had, a man he called his "adopted father" - or, in Mike's words "Adopted Faaw-thuhh".
It was just never the same since then.
