Well, there you have it. One of the biggest lopsided lines that I've seen Vegas take peoples money on in a long while. Damn I'm good! Posts: 384 | Registered: Mar 2007

not hat it matters, we already clinched the 2 seed so if the steelers lose it won't mean much
Ya, but the #1 seed is what they'll be losing if the Steelers don't win. You know they want to be the #1 seed for sure.
And how can the Titans open up as a 2 1/2 point fave without Haynesworth and Vanden Bosch, and Collins playing subpar last week? It's a sucker bet, like I said, the Titans cover the spread!
the #1 seed has never helped us before, infact often times the #1 seed doesn't make the super bowl

The Steelers were established in 1933 and have managed to win 5 Super Bowl titles. That means you average 1 every 15 years. The Ravens have been around since 1996 and have won 1 so far. So we've won 1 in the 12 years we've been in the league. Give us 63 more seasons in the league and we'll see what we can manage.
I hate this "we won so many way back when" arguements. How about all those other seasons when they didn't win squat?
the super bowl didn't start until the 60's
there have only been 42

Well, technically speaking there Mikey, even in the days before the Super Bowl, there were still NFL Championships. The Steelers never won a single one until the glory years of the 70s, when the Super Bowl had already been established. It's part of the reason that initial fanbase was so devoted, because they'd been through the absolute worst. To be quite honest, if you could imagine the Lions of the last 8 years and stretch that out for over 30 years.....that's what the Steelers were. Until they drafted Joe Greene. Then Terry Bradshaw. Then the likes of Franco Harris, Mel Blount, Lynn Swann, John Stallworth, Jack Lambert, and Jack Ham.

I do.....it's the last time the Rams won a title in L.A. and when the Lions were actually a dynasty (yeah, seriously). There'd be no Super Bowl perhaps had it not been for the 1958 Championship Game between the Colts and the Giants. That game led to the formation of the AFL because guys like Lamar Hunt and Al Davis saw how profitable the game of football could be.
