How long did it take you to post your reply or question? Why did you? I was looking on these forums for about 4 years before I actually posted. I think I never really did because for some reason I thought it was a complicated process.

Started posting almost immediately after becoming a member here, let's say I was hooked from the beginning.

Have been parusing Wu's for @ 3 years now; it took me a long time to figure out how to register in this talk forum (had to download Firefox because Safari wouldn't do it), has been my favorite ever since.

it didn't take me very long to reply to some threads after i took a look at the forum.
I had been coming to Wu's for a long time though, for the contributions, feature models, and video clips before i even read any of the forums.

Posted on the very first day I registered. Actually, that was the reason I registered ... I would have preferred to lurk, but someone posted something -- whatever it was, I can't remember -- that just screamed for my feedback.

I lurked for quite a while, simply because when I found it, I was too young to be a member. I though if I sign up and lie about my age, FBI would run up in my house and tell everyone in my house to eat dirt lol.

I posted immediately - I was one of those who made a 'newbie-type' thread but was quiet at first before really getting involved with stuff - I say that took up to a year for me.

Lurked for a few weeks, still do more lurking than posting...

I guess it took me a little over a year. My hesitance was, like you, in part thinking it beyond me. I also felt that I had little to contribute and that I was kind of "invading" an established group. Being a relative neophyte to the internet, it took me a while to figure out I was wrong. Glad I got up the courage to leap in.
