In your most recent topic in the picture forum "soles are for ever", you have posted a pic of My wife's sexy feet. Please remove it from your post as soon as possible as you do not have permission to post pics of her, only I do.
Please do not do so again without express permission from Me. Details as to which pic I am speaking of has been left by Me as a reply in that picture thread.

why post pics at all if you're worried about them being posted somewhere else? especially on the same forum

Sir Mike.. are you kidding me? i understand.. folks will repost pics they like elsewhere. you can't really prevent that. you can ask.. but can't police.
but.. on the same forum? where is the respect?
i won't weigh in more than that.. to me.. it's a respect deal.

p.s. all the pics i've reposted elsewhere was with expressed permission from the owners.. just out of respect! i gave up watermarking my pics.. i don't have time to chase folks who repost my pics.. if they do at all

If someone posted pics of my girl in a thread titled "best soles ever" or "best peds ever" that type of thing...then thats great. But...if they post the pics with the title "here's my hot g/f's peds" or "my g/f's hot feet"...THEN there's a problem...aside from that I would just take it as a compliment and take solace in the fact that those feet are with ME every night

I understand the sentiments on both sides of the issue and can't seem to find myself decisive either way.
There is the old saw about imitation vis a vis flattery but I think Robert Heinlein said it best: "The sincerest form of flattery...is money."

2swift; I hate to inform you, but you put it in the public domain. I like your work and your wife's feet; I'd take it as a compliment and move on.

Obviously 2swift has the rights to his own photos. If he wants them removed from a thread in this forum I will gladly do it for him, but I´m sure k16m16 will delete the pics.

He hasn't yet.

Maybe sending him a PM would settle the problem. Some people only visit this forum once a week and don`t check out every section or read every new thread.

Thank you all for your opinions, and views on this subject. While we do indeed see it as a compliment and form of flattery that he does indeed like her sexy soles there is also the matter of simple respect and permission. This is the only forum where we post our pics. We like wu's, the people who come here and the general positive attitude of this place. To have another post pics in this same forum of her without asking first is where I have a problem. We have many other online friends who have picture groups, and blogs dedicated to sexy feet and all have posted our pics at one time or another...but first they simply had the courtesy to ask first. Of course I said yes, and she was indeed flattered...we both were. I simply do not want others taking any form of credit for our labor of love or to portray it if it was some random pic found on the net.
We make our home here and like it here very much. All I am saying is, give credit where credit is due especially if you are going to post our pics in a forum where we are heavily active and contribute our pics here as often as we do.
I am not trying to cause drama at all. I have sent a PM to him as well, he has not read it yet, and of course have received no reply. All I wish to do is speak with him and try to work this out.
Thank you all again for your opinions, they are appreciated.
Regards, 2swift and the Mrs.

Well, all the pics. are still there this morning. This is getting into "Twilight Zone" territory. Maybe it's like k16m16 says--"soles are forever".

My wife is a professional photographer, so photo rights is definitely a hot topic for us. Hal is right, 2swift still retains rights to the photos, even after posting to a public forum. Unless he stated IN that post that the pictures were now public domain, copyright LAWS say he retains the rights.
Personally, I think it's disrespectful and quite rude to simply assume it's okay. Just as our mothers (should have) taught us, it is ALWAYS polite to ask.
