I am saddened by the news that Ray's Homegrown Feet (rayspad-online.com) will be permanently closed on Tuesday, December 5th 2006.
Ray's site was not without its flaws: it was photos only, and the picture sizes could have been bigger like most successful sites (a la 800x600, 1024x768). Ray's pics were not tiny, but neither were they proper-sized as mentioned above. Also as early back as spring of 2006, despite ten separate attempts to purchase a membership with my valid, positive-balance credit card, CCBill could not seem to process my transaction. This may well have been a CCBill problem instead of Ray's, but I have heard of similar problems with other people and CCBill. So switching billing partners might have helped.
But the bottom line is, Ray had a passion for women's bare feet. He photographed a lot of unique women for his site and in so doing, enriched the online feet-lovers community. It is a great shame that Ray is taking down the site altogether - I have written to him, asking him to consider allowing volunteers to pay for the yearly cost of maintaining the url domain name, and making it a free site if he no longer wishes to maintain it as a pay site. I think we can all agree that it would be a true shame if all of the work and content that Ray created were to disappear from the internet altogether.
So anyway, we've got till Tuesday. Get the sample images while you can. And do your part if you like them: write Ray and ask him to consider turning the site over to volunteer hosters, donaters, and what not. Let him know that you don't want to see all his hard-built content disappear from the net. A good example is the JSG Archives (smoking videos); they went under, and smokesigs.com asked if they could host the material so that it would not be lost to the smoke-lovers community. JSG agreed, and now their content is available to smokesigs members, even though JSG has folded.

Its kind of a mixed bag with the women that were on that site. In the previews over the years it looks like he's got some homeless women, crack heads, and other less than savory wimmin there. For some folks I suppose that was ok. Not my cup 'o tea personally.
So what is exactly happening to Ray to cause his site to close? He's been around for a while.

i love the homegrown style and some of that hits hard for me cuz I was raised in the south and used to have vivid fantasies of women I would encounter on the streets of my small home town.
I was just a wild teenager back then and that homegrown style brings back memories for me. Sad to see a long time great throwing in the towel

Good News for those who missed out on Ray's Homegrown Feet when it was around - since the site is now gone, I will soon be putting up a huge torrent at thepiratebay.org containing nearly every single photoset from Ray's Homegrown Feet.
